Glossary
Only terms the guides and lab actually use, each linked to the guide where it matters. A term that can't be maintained against verified sources is left out rather than kept as an empty heading.
- Candle (OHLC)
- One session summarized as four numbers: open, high, low, close. The chart body spans open to close; the wicks reach the high and low. Related guide: Read a price chart
- Computed signal (indicator)
- A rule applied to past prices that produces a number or marker — for example, a moving average. In the audited app these are computed in your browser. A signal is arithmetic on history; it is not an instruction. Related guide: Understand what a computed signal is
- Watchlist
- A list of symbols you choose to follow. In the audited version it lives in your browser’s local storage — watching a symbol is not an order, a position or a held asset. Related guide: Set up a watchlist
- Portfolio tracking
- Records of holdings you enter yourself, valued against read-only market data. A notebook, not a brokerage statement — the audited source has no brokerage connection. Related guide: Track a portfolio
- Read-only proxy
- The separate service the app fetches public market data through. "Read-only" means the path carries market data only — the audit found no order routes on it. Related guide: Read a price chart
- Verification pending
- This site’s label for a statement the stage-16 audit could not verify — for example, anything about the deployed app at app.tradeflows.net, whose build is unresolved. It means "we do not know", printed where a guess would otherwise go. Related guide: Find the app and know what you are looking at
